My husband and I own 6 dogs, 5 of which are American Cocker Spaniels all purchased from Jan's Country Cockers. The "odd one out" is a beautiful 2 yr. old Black Labrador Retriever, named Molly. Molly gently plays with all the cockers and I sometimes think SHE thinks she's a cocker, too!! Our cockers are: (from oldest on down) a beautiful black and tan, named Gwynnie, who will be 8 yrs. old in Oct. 2006. She was actually my mother's beloved and loyal companion until her death this past July. Gwynnie is very sweet and very loyal. We love her very much. Next comes Fudgie, a 4 yr. old chocolate and tan boy. Fudgie is a bit shy around strangers, but he heloves his family and especially his buddy, Molly. Last Christmas (2005) Jan sent me pics of her latest chocolate and white parti litter and guess what? I got not one...but TWO!! - a male (Cody) and a female (Dolly). We have so much fun with these two. They each have 1,000 kisses to give away every day and I do believe they meet their quota!! Cody has a real championship bearing and has springs for legs, I swear. He can jump so high and so far! I think he would be a great agility dog. Dolly is a typical female - she just sits back and bats her beautiful long eyelashes and her big doe-like eyes (we call them "Disney dog eyes") and she usually gets just what she wants. She and Cody are like Siamese twins; they go everywhere and do everything together. They are very sweet and loving dogs. Last not not least is our newest edition, a 10 week old gorgeous red and white parti boy I got for my son who is a Shakespearean actor and acting teacher. The puppy's name is Willy (for William Shakespeare, of course!!) and he is beautiful and smart and wonderful and has already captured all of our hearts. He is such a good boy and is so beautiful!! My husband thinks 6 is about enough, but I think 7 has a nice "round number" ring to it - don't you??!! LOL Our dogs are all happy and healthy and well adjusted and I truly believe that is because of the happy, homey atmostphere in which they were born and raised. I would not hesitate to recommend Jan's Country Cockers - she breeds beautiful, healthy and loving puppies. Stay tuned!! Marianna
